Monocrystal Cubic Boron Nitride
Inquiry
Cubic boron nitride (CBN) Monocrystal is usually synthesized from hexagonal boron nitride and catalyst at the pressure of 4 ~ 8 GPa and the temperature of 800 ~ 1900℃. The color is mostly black and amber. It has the characteristics of high hardness, thermal stability, structural stability and chemical stability, as well as good thermal conductivity and bending strength, so it is widely used.
Applications
- Used as abrasive material: CBN tools can be used for the processing of iron based materials, also can be used for the processing of non-iron metal materials, in the field of metal material processing application scope is wider than diamond grinding tools.
- Used as tool material: Suitable for high speed turning of hard materials with high hardness, and has unique advantages in cutting hard materials such as engines, and durable.
- Used as functional materials: High thermal conductivity cubic boron nitride single crystal can be used as filler to prepare composite materials, used for packaging materials, to meet the heat dissipation requirements of high-frequency heating components.
Characteristics
- High heat resistance and thermal conductivity
- Excellent dielectric properties
- High temperature stability
- Low thermal expansion coefficient
- High chemical stability.
